How was it developed? 

Silver Seal is exclusively researched, manufactured, distributed and guaranteed by Autosmart International. Silver Seal was extensively tested in Scandinavia, where the weather plays a huge part in paintwork deterioration. Silver Seal Paint Protector contains fluorocarbons, a technology originally developed to help protect the exterior of spacecraft.

How is Silver Seal different?

Independent scientific tests prove that Silver Seal Paint Protector lasts longer than any other product on the market.

Silver Seal is not a wax product. It is developed for its protection properties rather than beading properties. When it is cured you get a very hard varnish finish. Whilst this will typically bead at the start, the beading diminishes and changes over time. This is because you typically get tiny micro scratches in the very top outer level of the protective coating. Because the coating is very hard, these don’t just smooth out when you wipe over.

A wax on the other hand is designed for beading. Because a wax is softer, it means that you will polish out any micro scratches with your chamois or microfibre. But the beading doesn’t mean that it is giving more protection to your vehicle.

You can add items to the formulation to maintain the beading effect for longer, but in our experience these lessen the actual protective properties of polymer protectors.
